What is the deadline?

Checked 14 October 2026against Statute of Limitations (Amendment) Act 1991, section 3, as substituted by the Civil Liability and Courts Act 2004, section 8 of the Civil Liability and Courts Act 2004 and section 50 of the 2003 Act.

A personal injury action must be brought within 2 years of the accident or the later date of knowledge. A written notice of the wrong is due within 1 month. An application to the Board pauses the clock until six months after an Authorisation. Enter the date and see yours.
